This documentary is about investigating the scientific facts and figures behind the biggest public health crisis in living memory. This documentary focuses on the amount of data, information and disinformation that is flooded to us from the worlds media and what exactly is the facts.
Main aspects of this documentary:
- In the introduction to this documentary the editing is fast paced and there is many different clips used .
- The clips used were of real life things happening and related to the voice over.
- The music that was used whilst the voice over was happening gave a kind of eerie sense and suspension and suspension that excites the audience.
- The editing was fast paced and there was a glitch effect transition used multiple times to go from pictures to videos, which created an interesting effect that i would like to use in my documentary as its an easy way to transition form one location to another.
- There was a couple uses of time lapses within the documentary that fitted quite nicely to the theme of the documentary as most nations are on lock down, so everyone is just watching the day pass. and it also provides an aesthetic shot for the viewer whilst listening to the voice over.
- There is many interviews with experts in this documentary as they are letting the audience know what information that has been released by major companies on certain forms of media is true and what is false. In my documentary I will have more opinion based interviews but am able to take points on the style of the interviews within this documentary.
- In the documentary they also use clips from BBC News, considering it is a BBC documentary, it gives a different point of view form what they're talking about and shows it in a media from rather than straight from an expert.
- One of the presenters in the show goes and does many different interviews with experts to find out what news is actually factual and is sought to be believed by the public.
- There is also clips of just the presenter talking about, briefly, what it is that may of caused the coronavirus.
- The intro title for this documentary is similar to what i would like to do as it is simplistic with a background that clearly shows what it is about. I would like to do this with mine as it is short and easily memorable to the audience.
